Formation:
Noun 1 より Noun 2 の方が adjective
Verb-phrase 1 より V-phrase 2 方が adjective
い-adjective 1 より い-adjective 2 方が adjective
な-adjective 1 より い-adjective 2 な方が adjective

You’re more beautiful than her.
Kanojo yori anata no hou ga kirei desu yo.
ビールを飲むよりミルクを飲むの方が健康にいいですよ。
Drinking milk is better for your health than drinking beer.
Biiru o nomu yori miruko o nomu no hou ga kenkou ni ii desu yo.
英語より日本語の方が難しいと思う。
I think japanese is more difficult than english.
Eigo yori nihongo no hou ga muzukashii to omou.
サスケよりナルトの方が強い。
Naruto is stronger than sasuke.
Sasuke yori naruto no hou ga tsuyoi.
日本よりロシアの方が寒い。
Russia is colder than japan.
Nihon yori roshia no hou ga samui.
他人に頼るより自分で問題を解決する方がいいよ。
Solving the problem by yourself is better than relying on others.
Tanin ni tayoru yori jibun de mondai o kaiketsu suru hou ga ii yo.
兄より僕の方が背が高い。
I’m taller than my big brother.
Ani yori boku no hou ga sega takai.
給料の低いより、給料の高い仕事の方がいいじゃない？
Isn’t a high-paying job better than a low-paying one?
Kyuuryou no hikui yori, kyuuryou no takai shigoto no hou ga ii janai?
きみより彼の方が頭がいいよ。
He’s smarter than you.
Kimi yori kare no hou ga atama ga ii.
家族より仕事の方が大切だと思う人と結婚したくない。
I don’t want to marry someone who thinks his job is more important than his family.
Kazoku yori shigoto no hou ga taisetsu da to omou hito to kekkon shitakunai.
私はその後も、テレビで放送された大方のほかの番組より、このパイロット版の方が出来がいいと思っていました。
