Hôm nay, chúng ta sẽ đi đến Bài 38 – Ngữ pháp JLPT N3 – くせに (kuse ni)

1. Giải thích ngữ pháp JLPT N3 – くせに (kuse ni)
Meaning: Even though, and yet, in spite of
Formation:
Verb-Casual + くせに
Noun + のくせに
なadjective + なくせに
いadjective + くせに
2. Các câu ví dụ thông dụng nhất
彼は日本人のくせに漢字が読めない。
Kare wa nihonjin nokuseni kanji ga yomenai.
Even though he’s japanese, he can’t read the kanji.
この部屋は狭いくせに家賃がすごく高い。
Kono heya wa semai kuseni yachin ga sugoku takai.
This room is small yet the rent is high.
社長は会社のお金を盗んだのはあなたじゃないって分かってるくせに、それでもクビにしたなんて！
Shachou wa kaisha no okane o nusunda nowa anata janai tte wakatteru kuseni, soredemo kubi ni shita nante!
The president knows that you’re not the one who stole the company’s money, yet he still fire you.
全然勉強しなかったくせに、試験に合格した。
Zenzen benkyou shinakatta kuseni, shiken ni goukaku shita.
I passed the test even though i didn’t study at all.
彼女は暑いくせに、厚いコートを着ている。
Kanojo wa atsui kuseni, atsui cooto o kite iru.
Even though it’s hot, she’s wearing a thick coat.
君は何もかも見ているくせに、見たものから推理するということをしないんだ。
Kimi wa nani mokamo miteiru kuseni, mita mono kara suiri suru toiukoto o shinain da.
Even though you can see everything, you don’t deduce from what you saw.
あいつが大嫌いなくせに、なんで守ってるの？
Aitsu ga daikiraina kuseni, nande mamotteru no?
Why are you protecting that guy even though you hate him?
彼は１０年間韓国に住んでたくせに、韓国語が話せない。
Kare wa juunenkan kankoku ni sundeta kuseni, kankokugo ga hanasenai.
He lived in korea for 10 years yet he can’t speak korean.
ヒロシと対照的なのは、誠実さのかけらもないくせに、自分がいかに高潔な人間であるかを宣言してキャリアを築き上げる数多くの人物たちだ。
The opposite of hiroshi is all the hundreds of guys who make careers out of boasting about their uncompromising integrity but have absolutely no loyalty.

That would explain his asking me if i was sure of the name, while he himself knew well there was no such person, really.
Watashi ni, namae wa tashika ka to tazuneta koto no setsumei ni mo naru. kare jishin wa hontou wa sonna jinbutsu wa doko ni mo sonzai shinai koto wa hyaku mo shouchi shiteru kuse ni sa.
やつのごとき、胃弱のくせに熱心で働き者の青年はえてして胆石にかかりやすいのだ。
These earnest, hardworking young men with weak stomachs are always liable to bilious attacks.

The man is an oily hypocrite. first he tried to murder me, and now he pays me compliments!
Kono otoko wa obekka tsukai no gizensha da. saisho wa watashi o korosou to shita kuse ni, ima wa kono toori osejitaratara da.
なぜあなたは完全に立派な英語をお話しになることもあるくせに、そうでない時もあるのです？
Why do you sometimes speak perfectly good english and at other times not?
Naze anata wa kanzen ni rippa na eigo o ohanashi ni naru koto mo aru kuse ni, sou de nai toki mo aru no desu.
ボスは自分の好きなようにやりたい男だからなあ、他人には絶対好きなようにさせないくせに。
Boss is a man who likes to do whatever he likes, though no one else is allowed to do so.
Bosu wa jibun no suki na you ni yaritai otoko dakara naa, ta’nin ni wa zettai suki na you ni sasenai kuse ni.
いてほしいことはわかっているくせに。きみは、ぼくがどんなにしてでもきみをしっかり掴まえて世間の目を逃れてここにおいておきたいと思ってることも知っている。
