Hôm nay, chúng ta sẽ đi đến Bài 81 – Ngữ pháp JLPT N3 – ようとしない (you to shinai)

1. Giải thích ngữ pháp JLPT N3 – ようとしない (you to shinai)
Meaning: To not try to, to not try to make an effort to
Formation: Verb-volitional form + としない
2. Các câu ví dụ thông dụng nhất
うちの息子は夢をあきらめようとしない。
My son isn’t giving up on his dream.
Uchi no musuko wa yume o akirameyou to shinai.
彼女は何も話そうとしない。
She isn’t trying to say anything.
Kanojo wa nani mo hanasou to shinai.
ハチコ、どうしたんだろう。ご飯を食べようとしないんだよ。
What’s wrong with hachiko? he hasn’t been eating at all.
Hachiko, doushitan darou. gohan o tabeyou to shinain da yo.
彼は飲酒の習慣を改めようとしない。
He isn’t making an effort to change his habit of drinking.
Kare wa inshu no shuukan o aratameyou to shinai.
どうして認めようとしないの？
Why won’t you admit it?
Doushite mitomeyou to shinai no.
動けないのか動こうとしないのか、彼は動かない。
Either he can’t move or he’s not trying to, he doesn’t move an inch.
Ugokenai no ka ugokou to shinai no ka, kare wa ugokanai.
彼は自分のことは何も言おうとしない。
He doesn’t talk much about himself.
Kare wa jibun no koto wa nani mo iou to shinai.
足が動こうとしないのが問題だ。
The thing is my feet just won’t move.
Ashi ga ugokou to shinai no ga mondai datta.
わたしが自分の家族のことながら知ろうともしなかったあれこれを、この人は知っている。
He knows things about my own family which i have not troubled to discover.
Watashi ga jibun no kazoku no koto nagara shirou to mo shinakatta arekore o, kono hito wa shitte iru.
彼は、物腰や服装、その他で自分を人に印象づけようとしない。
He doesn’t try to impress with his style or his clothing or anything else.
Kare wa, monogoshi ya fukusou, sono hoka de jibun o hito ni inshou zukeyou to shinai.
自分に出された要求をすべてこなそうとしないことが、長く仕事で成功を収める秘訣なのだ。
Long-term success at work often depends on not trying to meet every demand placed on us.
Jibun ni dasareta youkyuu o subete konasou to shinai koto ga, nagaku shigoto de seikou o osameru hiketsu na no da.
彼女はそれまで自分が属して育ってきた世界からなかなか足を踏みだそうとはしなかった。
She wasn’t about to take even one step outside the comfortable world she was raised in.
Kanojo wa sore made jibun ga zokushite sodatte kita sekai kara nakanaka ashi o fumidasou to wa shinakatta.
レイジが話そうとしないなら、私がはじめから全部話してあげるよ。
If reiji won’t talk, i will tell you the whole tale from the beginning.

I know several people at my firm who have had similar experiences with sick children, but they didn’t feel they could be as forthcoming as i was.

That woman knows something. i know she knows something, and she won’t say.
Ano onna wa nanigoto ka shitte irun da. zettai ni machigai nai. shikamo ano onna wa iou to shinain da.
ミチコは鳥を相手になん時間もつまらないおしゃべりをして、わたしには目もくれようとしない。
Michiko would chatter nonsense to her bird by the hour, and take no notice of me.
Michiko wa tori o aite ni nan jikan mo tsumaranai oshaberi o shite, watashi ni wa me mo kureyou to shinai.
その日のことについて、彼はもうそれ以上何も言おうとはしなかった。
He wouldn’t tell me anything about that day.
Sono hi no koto ni tsuite, kare wa mou sore ijou nanimo iou to wa shinakatta.
